THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL SHEEPHATCH LANE (D103), TILFORD TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER 2017 Dear Sirs FURTHER TO THE ISSUE OF A NOTICE UNDER SECTION 14.2 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 “THE ACT”, ON 15TH FEBRUARY 2017 SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL MADE the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of “the Act”, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Sheephatch Lane (D103), Tilford other than in a west or south-westerly direction. This Temporary Traffic Order is required on grounds of safety, until permanent repair works to Tilford East Bridge have been carried out and/or highway resurfacing/maintenance works on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the seventeen month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order that commences on 18th February 2017. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary one-way system which is anticipated will be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and to the extent indicated by those traffic signs. The proposed one-way system described in above shall not apply in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police.
