SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL IN EXERCISE OF ITS POWERS UNDER SECTION 14 (2) OF The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers hereby gives notice that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in the entire length of Sheephatch Lane (D103), Tilford other than in a west or south-westerly direction.


This Notice is required on grounds of safety, until permanent repair works to Tilford East Bridge have been carried out. The Notice will come into effect on 30th January 2017 for a period of 21 days. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary one-way system which is anticipated will be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and to the extent indicated by those traffic signs.


The proposed one-way system described in this notice shall not apply in respect of anything done:

a)         with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform;

b)         in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by or on behalf of the Police.
